Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

At GHRC, the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) uses a combination of medication dispensation and behavioral health training to provide a whole-patient approach for the treatment of opiate use.

Buprenorphine (suppresses and reduces cravings for opioids), Buprenorphine/Naloxone and Naltrexone (blocks the euphoric and sedative effects of opioids and prevents feelings of euphoria) are different forms of drugs that are offered through the MAT program at GHRC and serve as a bridge to recovery.

Our experienced medical providers work with clients in the diagnosis and treatment of opiate dependency while our peer specialists utilize their lived experiences and training to work with clients in identifying realistic goals, providing support, and linkage to needed services including transportation, housing, and substance use treatment.
